Financial Assistance for 2017-2018
 

     


There are three possible sources of tuition assistance for students attending OLG:

 

  1. OLG’s Financial Assistance Program is available to all students currently enrolled in our school. It is based on need, and the application is submitted to an independent service, Private School Aid Service (PSAS), recently acquired by FACTS. This form requires documentation and tax return information from your 2016 tax return.  This application, along with a processing fee must be received by FACTS on or before the deadline TBA in April 2017. Instructions can be found below. www.factsmgt.com

  2. North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship – A need based program for any qualifying student coming from public school the prior semester or entering Kindergarten or 1st grade (regardless of where the child attended school the previous year). There are several other possible qualification criteria which can be found in the attachments below. The application portal opens February 1, 2017. After March 1, applications are considered on a first come basis.  It pays up to $4,200 per child. http://www.ncseaa.edu/K-12Grants.htm

     

  3. North Carolina Disabilities Grant – This program is for children who have documented learning disabilities and well as several other criteria which can be found in the attachments below. It will be paying up to $6,000 per child and the application portal opens May 1, 2017.                             http://www.ncseaa.edu/K-12Grants.htm 

  

All families who wish to apply for any type of assistance must FIRST complete the re-registration process including the payment of the $50 Re-registration Fee for those seeking financial help.

 

  

OLG’s Financial Aid Process:   The FACTS Financial Aid Form is available in two formats. 

 

  1. Online at www.factsmgt.com . There is an Online Instructions Guide below to help you with completing the online application.

     

  2. An interactive PDF form in both English and Spanish is also attached . This form is an interactive PDF and is not an “online” application. It is an electronic version of the FACTS paper application. For the quickest submission, use this on-line application.  If you prefer to complete the PDF version, y ou must DOWNLOAD this PDF and save it to your computer before filling it out. To properly complete the form and ensure the information is recorded correctly, you must open it using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. DO NOT “view” the PDF and attempt to complete it in your browser. This will result in an unusable PDF and/or improperly recorded information. P rint the completed form and mail it to FACTS. If you prefer to hand write your information, then print the blank form and fill it out by hand.

 

The majority of funds will be allocated based on completed applications received by PSAS on or before the deadline of 4/11/16. Late applications are accepted, but funds are very limited at that point. You may contact Susan Shepherd at susan.shepherd@olgsch.org  or 336-275-1522 x128 if you have questions.
