PACE Program (Learning Differences)
The PACE Program at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School offers an educational program for students whose learning needs require a smaller classroom setting and specialized instructional strategies, including academics and social skills.
The OLG PACE Program provides special education services for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade who require a self-contained classroom with a separate curriculum. Students entering the PACE program perform below grade level across subject areas, with academic progress limited in a regular classroom even with modifications, accommodations, or pull-out services. Our PACE students receive core subject instruction in the PACE classroom, but join their grade-level peers for lunch, recess, field trips, and enrichment classes including art, music, drama, PE, library, and STREAM.
Our PACE instructors are trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading and writing instruction and certified in Special Education by the state of North Carolina.
