QUEST Program (AU Inclusion Program)

Quest Mission Statement

Our Lady of Grace is on a Quest to bring quality instruction to children with high-functioning autism. We blend small classroom sizes with research-based curriculum in the areas of social skills, language, and academics. Inclusion opportunities are in a child-centered, creative, faith-based environment.

Program Overview

The Quest Program at Our Lady of Grace School offers children with high-functioning autism, kindergarten through 8th grade, structured, individualized instruction in the areas of social skill development, academic course work, and language acquisition. The Quest program is for students who benefit from inclusion opportunities with their neuro-typical peers in instructional and social environments. The goal of the program is to develop the whole child to become successful in all kinds of environments.

Quest Curriculum

Students enrolled in OLG's Quest Program receive instruction in both the regular education classroom and in separate small group settings. Individual learning and social needs are met through Student Accommodation Plans (SAPs). Quest students receive instruction in the areas of language arts, math, social studies, science, art, music, physical education, social skill instruction, and religion. Sensory needs are addressed on an individual basis to allow each child to reach their full potential in the classroom.
